Para ser más honesto, me llamo mucho la atención el hecho que ellos tienen una memoria a corto plazo y por eso me sentí muy identificado a pesar que son mas interesantes que eso. En el trabajo original yo le puse solamente 7 tentáculos y ellos tienen 8. De por si yo estaba bien interesado con los animales acuáticos en aquel entonces, y quise escoger el pulpo por la razón de que se ve una criatura libre en el océano por sus tentáculos tan versátiles. Este trabajo es mas bien uno experimental, que use de los métodos tradicionales, talle una madera caoba, usando como fondo un pedazo de plástico regando pintura con un rodillo esparciendo la pintura con paint thinner de forma aleatoria para que diera ese efecto como si fuera agua. Hice este trabajo sin ningún fin común de llevar algún mensaje. Durante lo que transcurrió del, fue muy enfático a la hora de ver mas allá de lo que uno da como persona, no tan solo para el prójimo si no a uno mismo. Me percate que el tema inicial que veía mucho era del amor propio, y eso va mas allá a lo que uno se da hoy presente, es todo aquello que vivió para amar quien eres tal y como eres, esas vivencias y experiencias que te llevaron o te moldearon para ser quien eres. Este trabajo consiste en palabras fundamentales para que en mi búsqueda fuera mas eficaz y tener una guía a que era como persona y artista; y como quiero hablarles y representar. Magia, Alma, Energía y Paz. Busque el significado ilustrativo y en definición estas palabras. Ahora mismo me siento a ver el resultado final de este trabajo y contemplo todo aquello vivido. Así como la palabra alma, representa ese ser que esta ahi sentado mirando esa energía en punto focal, como esas lineas conectan, mirando los relojes formándose, derritiéndose, desvaneciéndose; Mirar atrás es repasar las vivencias, escoger que momentos te dan paz y que momentos te dan mas enseñanzas. En ocasiones nos cansamos y buscamos esa energía para seguir motivado. Cual es nuestro propósito, a que meta nos dirigimos; Esa es la magia que nos transciende a un presente y futuro. Puede ser para ti, para tu familia, hijos, relaciones, ó trabajo. Hago paz con muchas cosas que se experimentó y abro caminos a lo que quiero presente y futuro. Sin embargo, en mi afán por terminar este trabajo, me encontré con una contradicción: quería hablar del presente, pero no lograba estar en él. Decidí entonces darme un espacio, tomar mi tiempo y estar presente en mis rutinas, en mi entorno, en las personas que me rodean. Quise permitirme ir a mi ritmo. Sabía que tenía una tarea por hacer, que mi corazón lo decía, pero yo estaba en otro ritmo. Con mis defectos y virtudes, aprendí a apreciar muchas cosas en palabras, aquellas que son importantes para mí, lo que puedo abrazar y lo que puedo dejar ir. “La verdadera generosidad con el futuro es darlo todo en el presente, hoy, siempre.” Los elementos de la espiral de palabras en el diseño representan el tiempo y cómo todo está interconectado en el presente. Lo coloqué en la parte trasera porque lo llevo conmigo, como un recordatorio de lo que conforma mi realidad. El juego de palabras en la espiral tiene un orden: de mayor a menor. Aquello que aparece en grande es lo más visible y consciente; lo que se hace pequeño son aspectos que quizás necesitan más atención. Tal vez tú también encuentres algo con lo que puedas identificarte. Dentro de la espiral hay una persona remando en un bote, en su momento más presente, rodeado de todas estas palabras. Esa figura representa lo que es cuerpo, alma, liderazgo, equilibrio y corazón. Teniendo eso, puedes remar hacia un lugar, un propósito, un destino. Así como en el pasado, en el presente sigues moldeándote para el futuro. Como dije antes y sigo diciendo hoy: mi arte es para que lo interpretes a tu manera, no a la mía. Me percate que el tema inicial que veía mucho era del amor propio, y eso va mas allá a lo que uno se da hoy presente, es todo aquello que vivió para amar quien eres tal y como eres, esas vivencias y experiencias que te llevaron o te moldearon para ser quien eres. Este trabajo consiste en palabras fundamentales para que en mi búsqueda fuera mas eficaz y tener una guía a que era como persona y artista; y como quiero hablarles y representar. Magia, Alma, Energía y Paz. Busque el significado ilustrativo y en definición estas palabras. Ahora mismo me siento a ver el resultado final de este trabajo y contemplo todo aquello vivido. Así como la palabra alma, representa ese ser que esta ahi sentado mirando esa energía en punto focal, como esas lineas conectan, mirando los relojes formándose, derritiéndose, desvaneciéndose; Mirar atrás es repasar las vivencias, escoger que momentos te dan paz y que momentos te dan mas enseñanzas. En ocasiones nos cansamos y buscamos esa energía para seguir motivado. Cual es nuestro propósito, a que meta nos dirigimos; Esa es la magia que nos transciende a un presente y futuro. Puede ser para ti, para tu familia, hijos, relaciones, ó trabajo. Hago paz con muchas cosas que se experimentó y abro caminos a lo que quiero presente y futuro. Use los relojes de Salvador Dalí porque “sugieren una noción distorsionada de los segundos que provocan extrañeza quien los contempla y sugieren que el tiempo transcurre de una manera muy diferente” y “son un símbolo inconsciente de la relatividad del espacio y el tiempo”. Soy fanático de Dalí y buscar el significado de los relojes al finalizar mi trabajo, me sorprendió tanta la casualidad de ello, pero así como es el arte, uno lo interpreta a su manera. “La persistencia de la memoria” es una pieza de arte influenciada para mi trabajo y como es una interpretación de estas palabras guías, que representan lo que es un PASADO para mi. Para ser más honesto, me llamo mucho la atención el hecho que ellos tienen una memoria a corto plazo y por eso me sentí muy identificado a pesar que son mas interesantes que eso. En el trabajo original yo le puse solamente 7 tentáculos y ellos tienen 8. De por si yo estaba bien interesado con los animales acuáticos en aquel entonces, y quise escoger el pulpo por la razón de que se ve una criatura libre en el océano por sus tentáculos tan versátiles. Este trabajo es mas bien uno experimental, que use de los métodos tradicionales, talle una madera caoba, usando como fondo un pedazo de plástico regando pintura con un rodillo esparciendo la pintura con paint thinner de forma aleatoria para que diera ese efecto como si fuera agua. Hice este trabajo sin ningún fin común de llevar algún mensaje. Como parte de la clase, el profesor en aquel entonces y amigo hoy dia Richard Santiago "Tiago", nos dio como assignment hacer una propuesta para la clase y para hacer ese arte y pintarlo en vivo en el Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Puerto Rico (MAC). Quise hablar en mi propuesta sobre el arte expresionismo, y queria usar los ojos en aquel entonces, mi pareja fueron los modelos. Quise hacer un triptico. Para el tiempo que llega la fecha de pintar en vivo, paso una situacion entre ella y yo, que es algo normal en las relaciones que pasen discusiones y diferencias en opiniones. Fue un sabado temprano que sucedio eso y a las doce del medio dia ya estaba en el museo para pintar. Con mil emociones en la cabeza, en ese momento me sentia molesto pero mas bien agobiado ante la situacion, a la noche de ese dia pude hablar con mi pareja y "resolver". Ya al otro dia de haber hablado sentia las aguas calmadas y me sentia un poco mas enfocado y ese dia salieron los segundos ojos que se titulan "serenidad", por el hecho que ya me sentia calmado con mi pareja y pude resaltar sus ojos de ella a detalle con mas compasion. Para el 2020, tiempos de pandemia, quise explorar este campo de camisas y la serigrafia, y quise empezar con los ojos porque ya era algo que tenia planeado con mi mejor amigo. Recuerdo que solo hice una docena de camisas sin pensar que le gustaria a las personas. Y cuando subo la publicacion en las redes sociales en menos de media hora ya yo tenia esa primera docena de camisas agotadas, que habia hecho con tanta inseguridad. Todavia recuerdo que ese verano vendi mas de cien camisas y para mi fue lo mejor que me pudo haber pasado. Hoy dia sigo ejerciendo mi conocimiento del arte, vivo del arte, trabajo para el arte y sigo dandole amor y cariño a mi marca, que jamas y nunca llegue a pensar que tuviese.
